Environmental protection in China is very serious,and at present the development of environmental education can not meet the needs of the development of environmental protection,especially the school environment education development relative lag,enviro nmental education effect remains to be improved.Geography,disciplined in relationship as the main line,the idea of sustainable development as the guiding ideology,is the impo rtant carrier of implementing environmental education.Geography teaching material is the basis of teachers' teaching and students learning,through the geography textbook,the design of the environmental education situation can be measured.Therefore,the different versions a comparative study on environmental education in high school Geography teaching material design,Can learn from each other,optimize the environmental design of high school geography teaching materials in China,enhance the effect of environmental education.By applying the method of literature,collecting and organizing the connotation of environmental education,development process,trend of environmental education at hom e and abroad,the research status of environmental education in the textbooks and other Data.Using content analysis,comparative analysis,interpretation of the 3 edition high sch ool geography curriculum standards,the two coursebooks published by The People?s Education Press of the PRC,The Three People Publishing House,ltd.of Taiwan China and Scientific Discover published by The McGraw-Hill Companies,Inc.of the USA,a total of 3 edition high school geography teaching material comparative analysis,find out 3 edition teaching material in the environmental education content selection and the advantages and disadvantages of present ways.Through the comparative study,summarized geography textbooks for high schools are in the environmental education of the defects in the design: Environmental education curriculum standard ignored the "process and method" goal;Full contents of the environ mental education;"Environment and development" theme content less;Environmental ed ucation participation is not high;Environmental education integrity is not strong;Enviro nmental education program in a single Settings;Environmental education illustration quantity and quality to be improved.Suggestions for improvement are put forward based on insufficient : perfecting the curriculum standard,enhanced target maneuverability;Increase the content of environme ntal education,conform;Highlight the "science and technology" factors in the environme nt education;Environmental education design reflects life;To optimize the environmenta l education organization;Rich environment education program design;Appropriate to inc rease the number of images,improve image quality.
