Based on the contradiction between supply and demand of talent cuitivation,the thesis will probe into the problems of the undergraduate education of tourism.In this paper,the definition,property and its historical evolution of tourism education are first combed,then in the literature review from home and abroad,the development of tourism ecucation abroad is better than the one in China due to early start and mature development,so the research is concrete and in –depth.By contrast,domestic tourism education face severe and serious problems in the actual process of developing with the development of tourism.From the literature of home,although there is no systematic research system formation,but it is a wake-up call for us that the problems are in all axpects,if the situation continues,it will hinder the tourist education in our country and even the sustainable development of tourism industry.As a result,I stand on the shoulders of our predecessors in attempt to study undergraduate tourism education problems systematically and deeply.Under the guidance of the positivism paradigm,the paper mainly adopts the combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods.First of all,conceptualize the key words of the tourism education problems into teaching resources,teaching effect,curriculum system and discipline maturity etc in several dimensions.Secondly,after reading related literature,on the basis of using the self-designed questionnaires to collect the relevant data on the problem of tourism education,it issues different questionnaires according to different groups,for example,the teachers,the college students and graduates of tourism management.a total of 530 members from 25 provinces inland is involved the study.At the meantime,the author also does research on the subject through a different perspective of feedback of tourism industries,for instance,travel agencies,five-star hotels and scenic spots.The interview method is used in the process.On the basis of questionnaires and interview,the author deals with the relevant datas and information about undergraduate education of tourism and continues to do descriptive analysis,explanation and interpretative analysis,then draw the research conclusion of this paper.The result shows:the tourism discipline is not mature,lies in not have rich and abundant concepts of the system and further research directions,the existing tourism subject concepts are not only less,but also not professional and profound,;Most tourism professional teaching materials are high quantity and low quality problems,on the one hand,the framework of them are simply transplanted from paraphrasing origin discipline system,can not catch the kernel essence of each branch subject,on the other hand,the problem is characterized by a large number of relevant content of repetition;The professional orientation of undergraduate education of tourism is senior managerial personnel,the subject knowledge and comprehensive practice knowledge should be paid equal attention to;The teaching effects need to improve,mainly display in the method of learning strategies,students-oriented,advanced teaching method,therefore,individualized teaching methods should be focus on practice and put into use in the undergraduate course;Tourism,tourism planning,tourism economics,travel agency management,tourist marketing,tourist geography,tourist psychology,tourist scenic spot management,tourism English,law of tourism,tourist human resources management,tourist resources,tourism electronic commerce,hotel operation and management,tourism aesthetics of tourism,tourist culvated manners are the core professional courses of tourism management and so on.After making sure about above problems of undergraduate education of tourism,the author puts forward some countermeasures for targeted and operable specifications,hoping to offer relevant suggestions to tourism colleges,and calls on experts,scholars and teaching management staffs to focus on it again,changing the status with the wisdom of all.
