Picture book,which is known as children's first book.The picture book's value is being discoverd,at the same time,The market of Chinese picture book is developing fast.Not only published many good reputation original picture books and also introduced large number of foreign picture books.But when competed with the introduced picture books,Chinese picture book is at a disadvantage,Children prefer to read the introduced picture books,and adults tend to choose introduced picture books for children as reading material.Chinese picture books is facing an embarrassing situation that Chinese people applauded original picture books but tend to buy introduced picture books.Based on this phenomenon,this study analyzes the characteristics of Chinese and American picture book's characteristics performance,comparison it's similarities and differences,and find out the insufficiency of the original picture book,then put forward some suggestions on the development of Chinese original picture books.This study use the interview method and the literature method to analyze the children's characteristics performance from the picture book.Then use children's characteristicsity performance as a framework and use comparative analysis method and text analysis method to study Chinese picture book and American picture book's children characteristics performance from the aspect of theme,text and picture.Through the study,researcher found that the Chinese and American picture book's children's characteristicsity performance have somethings in commom.such as concernd with the authenticity of the picture books;humor performance of picture books;the creation of the picture books is in line with the preschool children's characteristics.There are also exist following differences: Chinese picture books focuse on the authenticity of the story while American picture books focuse on the fantasy based on the reality;Chinese picture books the fun is the means,American picture books the fun is the purpose;Chinese picture book's text using large of written language while American picture book's text are more colloquial;Chinese picture books are more focused on the narrative expression,American picture books are more concerned about the details of the portrayal;Chinese picture books are more concerned about the value of the text;American picture books pay more attention to the value of the picture.According to the results of the comparison of children's characteristics performance in Chinese and American picture book,researcher puts forward the reasons for lack of characteristics performance in Chinese picture book: lose of "child-centered view";over-relianced on traditional elements;the obvious of read's utilitarian purpose and lack of full-time picture book writers.Based on the above conclusions and the reasons for the analysis,the researchers put forward the suggestion of chinese picture book from three aspects: the creator of the picture book,the parents and teachers and the publishing institution: the creator of the picture books should coordinate the relationship between children 's characteristics and nationality on the basis of adhering to the child' s standard;parents and teachers should form the correct understanding of the picture book,choose the appropriate picture book for children;publishers should explore the excellent author resources,training full-time "picture book writer."...
