The professional development of teacher has always been paid great attention in the education area.Teachers are the core factor to improve the education quality.They are also called the “Soul” of a university.China starts the teacher profession development relatively late.Most of the teacher profession concentrates on normal schools.Teachers for primary schools and middle schools are the main parts.What are the real demands of the Russian language teachers in university? What are the important factors to the professional development of the Russian language teachers in college? How did these factors influence the professional development of Russian language teachers in college? All of the above points have been rarely considered.The research uses the professional development process of 3 Russian teachers in university as a clue,to find out the condition of the professional development of Russian language teachers in university by means of In-depth interview,observation in class etc.The research will also walk into their daily lives and their inner world.It aims at solid presenting the profession growth process of the Russian language teachers in university and the real professional life of them.This thesis is divided into 4 parts.The first part is the precondition and foundation of this research.First of all,it analyses the necessity of the professional development of university teachers for minority language through the national foreign language education policy and the current condition of the minority language teachers;secondly,the theoretical and practical significance of the research are elaborated based on the study of the research subject;thirdly,the relevant researches of teacher professional development in college are summarized and the study methods of this research are introduced;fourthly,the core concept and the research foundation are defined.The second part is the story of the professional development of three teachers at Y University,teaching Russian language.Firstly,it introduces the university,which the three Russian language teachers working for;secondly,the research has interviewed and observed the three Russian language teachers,who are teaching for 1 year,5 years and 22 years,the professional development of Russian language teachers in university and the development status were exhibited;at last,the research makes an analysis and think about the development status of the Russian language teachers profession.The third part has analyzed the influence factors and functional mechanism of the professional development of the Russian language teachers in university.The influence factors are divided in 2 categories based on the most classification methods of most scholars,which are the individual factors and the external factors.The functional mechanism of the profession development of Russian language teachers in university is expounded by Bandura Reciprocal Function Theory.The fourth part is based on the results of the research and has proposed the relevant research advices.To begin with the implementation of democratic management,university teachers' should participate in school management;secondly,the universities should develop specific training for the teachers in the schools and make efforts to build a teacher profession development community;thirdly,the family members should support the work of teachers;last but not the least the Russian language teachers in university should improve their teaching reflective ability by themselves.
