With the deepening exchanges between China and South Korea,Chinese courses have been set up in most of high schools in Korea.Teaching Chinese as a second language to Korean attracts more attention.The past studies are mostly focused on Chinese teaching of ordinary high schools and vocational high schools in Korea,while the Chinese teaching of high schools for special purposes was ignored.As one of the high schools for special purposes,SOPA(School of Performing Arts)focus on the improvement of students' professional skills,and the purpose of Chinese teaching in SOPA is to assist professional study.Students are mainly engaged in professional studies while they pay little attention to Chinese,the efforts that students can pay into Chinese learning are finite,and the actual learning effect is not ideal.Combined with students' learning needs,this article takes the Chinese teaching of SOPA in Korea as the research object,studies the characteristics and problems of Chinese teaching in this school by means of observation,teacher interviews and questionnaire,and the suggestions and teaching strategies are put forward on this basis.This article is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction,which introduces the research background,the research status,the research significance,and explains the theoretical basis and the method used in this research.The second part is the overview about research object.,which introduces the general situation of teaching Chinese as a second language for special purposes,the general situation and Chinese teaching history of SOPA.The third part is about the current situation of Chinese teaching in SOPA.,which is described from aspects of curriculum,teaching materials,teachers,students,classroom teaching and test evaluation.The fourth part is the result and analysis of the questionnaire survey of SOPA,which is designed from students 'learning needs,based on real and effective survey data,including the students' learning situation,the attitude and requirements of students in all aspects of Chinese teaching.The fifth part is the characteristics and problems of Chinese teaching in SOPA.Combined with the situation of Chinese teaching and students' needs,we find thesuccess and defects of the Chinese teaching in SOPA after analysis.In terms of teaching materials,The textbook is reasonable but lack of relevance and practicality.The teachers both have their own advantages but lack of cooperation.Students are creative but not interested in Chinese.The test has validity but not comprehensive enough.The last part is recommendations and strategies.On the basis of investigation and analysis,I put forward some suggestions and strategies for improving the teaching situation of SOPA.It should improve the position of Chinese,optimize the teaching materials,strengthen the construction of teachers,optimize the classroom teaching and improve the way of Chinese examination.
