The Enlightenment Of Moral Education Theory Of Confucianism To Ideological And Political Education Of Our University

As the longest standing thought guiding the ideological sphere of our country,Confucianism which dated back to the pre-Qin period,has been highly regarded by Chinese people.The modern ideological and political education needs to absorb and borrow all outstanding achievements including traditional Chinese culture.The pre-Qin Confucian moral education thoughts can enrich the content of modern ideological and political education,the modern theory of ideological and political education of theoretical research and practical exploration to provide rich theory of nutrients.The paper excavated the rational kernel of the Confucian moral education thought,and analyzes the feasibility of the idea of moral education in pre-Qin dynasty for the ideological and political education of contemporary colleges and universities.This paper discusses the significance of Confucian moral education to the current university ideological and political education.Confucian moral education ideology is a moral and ethical norm of human society,and its most basic theoretical basis is the theory about human evil and virtues.On the basis of summarizing the human nature ideas of the representatives of Confucianism--Confucius,Mengzi and Xunzi,the paper sums up the main contents of Confucian moral education from the aspects of the idea of governing the country,the cultivation of morality and the ideology of education.There are many things shared by the Confucian moral education ideology and modern ideological and political education.This paper analyzes the five reasons of applying Confucian moral education ideology to modern ideological and political education: strong political nature,objective consistency,human nature,content similarity,and general characters shared by methods and principles.The ideological and political education in colleges and universities has made many achievements now: well established ideological and political education system,remarkable construction of teachers ' team,and the good ideological and political quality of college students.It is certain that there are many deficiencies in the ideological and political education,including lack of personalized humane care for students,emphasizing on students' study and exam performance while neglecting their thoughts and behavior,emphasizing on educating students' with verbal instruction andwithout personal examples,the inconsistencies between school education and family education and so on.Therefore,the paper advises that the Confucian moral education ideology shall be applied in education,and puts forward the following feasible measures to strengthen and improve the ideological and political education in colleges and universities: strengthening the political function of ideological and political education,adhering to the people-oriented concept,emphasizing college students' self education,combining social practice with theory,emphasizing family education,improving the school's control over ideological and political education,etc..
