Study Of The Effects Of Population Age Structure On The Household Consumption In Northeast China

Since reform and opening-up,the economy has been developed rapidly,however the rise in household consumption level is not consistent with the growth of the economic,it has been a downtrend for a long time.As a economic area in China,although the household consumption rate of the northeast area has been rising recently,in the long run is still in the downward trend evidently.Under the condition of the downtrendhousehold consumption level,to explore the factors that influence thehousehold consumption is a significant job,so this article analyses the problem from the angle of the population age structure.The aim of this article is to find out whetherpopulation age structure affects the household consumption level and how to affect.We study this problem from two aspects: theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,hoping to get a more perfect result.In recent years,China's population features prominently in northeast area,which embodies in the population age structure characteristics are obvious,on the one hand,young dependency ratio in northeast area has been downtrend,the total fertility rate is low;on the other hand,an aging population has become increasingly intensified,Liaoning,Jilin and Heilongjiang province has entered the aging society.Thehousehold consumption rate of northeast area has the similar change trend,an overall downward trend,according to its change characteristic,the household consumption rate in 1985-2015 can be divided into four stages,respectively is fluctuation in the overall decline stage,rising stage,a slight fluctuation in decline stage and slowly rising stage.Thankfully,in recent years,the household consumption rates of the three provinces of northeast area have a small rise.In this paper,the research results show that for the whole northeast area,population age structure has a significantly influence on the ratio of consumption,and young dependency ratio and elderly dependency ratio have positive influence on the household consumption rate are positive.For Liaoning,Jilin and Heilongjiang province,population age structure and the ratio of consumption also have a cointegration relationship,namely the long-term equilibrium relationship between the two indexes.According to the results of this article we give the following policy suggestions: changing the concept of consumers,to improve fertilitythrough various channels,improving the aged industry and the old-age security model,carry out the policy of extending working tenures.
