Experiment is the cornerstone of chemistry;experiment teaching is an important content for teachers to impart knowledge and an important means for students to acquire chemical knowledge.As an important teaching content and teaching method,experiment teaching can effectively stimulate students' interest in learning.Students in the experiment carefully observe the phenomenon,hands-on,thinking about the reasons for the problem,so as to draw a correct conclusion.It is an important way to cultivate students' scientific literacy through the experiment teaching to make students understand the basic chemistry knowledge and theory,cultivate students' scientific thinking mode,dare to question and innovate ability,which is also an important component of the core quality of high school chemistry.In recent years,all levels of education departments,schools,teachers and education experts are constantly exploring the experimental teaching mode,putting forward various experimental teaching theories and carrying out practical research in some areas and schools.However,there are still many problems in experimental teaching in schools and regions: the experiment teaching concepts of teachers are not strong;the phenomenon of insufficient experiments exists widely.In this paper,the author makes an investigation and study on the difficulties of the chemical experiment teaching in XJ County,analyzes the main reasons for the difficulty of the experimental teaching,and puts forward some improvement strategies.The questionnaire and interview were used in the survey,and the subjects were teachers,students and administrators.The investigation of teachers is divided into five dimensions:(1)the view and understanding of the experimental teaching of teachers;(2)laboratory equipment configuration and update;(3)experimental teaching situation;(4)the evaluation of the students' experimental ability;(5)the evaluation of teachers in experimental teaching.The survey of the students is divided into six dimensions:(1)understanding of chemical experiment;(2)the situation of experiment activities;(3)attitudes and practices of the students' experiment;(4)the experimental teaching evaluation methods;(5)the experimental expectations;(6)suggestions on experimental teaching.We also conducted an interview with the experimental teachers to find out their working conditions and the situation of experimental teaching.From the survey results,teachers and students are generally aware of the importance of experimental teaching;laboratory configuration meets the teaching needs.But there are some problems,such as lack of follow-up investment of experimental drugs;setting up a small number of experiments;the intensity of the development of experimental teaching materials is not enough;some experimental teachers professional skills are relatively poor;the experimental capacity of students unscientific evaluation.Finally,the students also showed high expectations for the experiment.High school chemistry teachers in XJ County have realized the importance of experimental teaching in chemistry teaching,but it is difficult to carry out the experimental teaching and they go into the difficult position.Based on the analysis of the causes of the problems in experiment teaching,this paper puts forward the following improvement strategies:(1)renew the concept of teachers' experimental teaching and optimize experimental teaching design;(2)improve the status of the experimental management personnel,strengthen the construction of experimental team;(3)increase the investment in the construction of the experimental platform,moderately open experimental site;(4)improve the teaching evaluation system and improve the evaluation system;(5)explore the teaching mechanism of experimental course,develop local school-based curriculum,etc..It is expected that through the research of this subject,the local teachers can change their ideas,actively participate in experiment teaching research,adapt to the development of modern teaching,improve the quality of teaching in this area,but also hoped to have some inspiration and help to other education counterparts.
