Originating from abroad,flipped classroom model,via modern information technology,places knowledge transmission before class and knowledge internalization in class.Flipped classroom model,centered in study,endeavors to cultivate students’ self-learning ability,cooperative learning ability and exploration ability,which coincides perfectly with the concept of new curriculum reform.Taking a stance on physical geography teaching in high school,and integrating with flipped classroom model,this paper tries to find a path that can enhance physical geography teaching.First of all,this paper applies questionnaire method,literature research method,and experiment,based on constructivism learning theory,mastery learning theory,and the theory of humanistic learning,to analyze characteristics,advantages and discuss the possibility of implementing flipped classroom model on senior high school physical geography teaching.Secondly,on the basis of foreign researchers’ study,it intends to build flipped classroom model and interprets the implementation process in detail.Furthermore,taking two first grade classes in a middle school in Sichuan as research objects,this paper adopts flipped classroom model in one class and utilizes traditional teaching method in another.In the end of the experiment,by analyzing examination scores of those two classes and questionnaire done to the group where flipped classroom method is carried on,this paper attempts to prove that the flipped classroom model can truly enhance physical geography teaching.Finally,it summarizes the research result of this issue and points out limits of this research.By analysis,this paper finds that applying flipped classroom model in senior high school geography teaching can to some extent increase students’ interests in learning and contribute to better results.Besides,students tend to accept flipped classroom model.
