Objective: In this study, eight ordinary college students through different forms of recovery means to intervene, explore and analyze the active recovery, electrical stimulation and passive recovery of the impact and effect for ordinary people to deal with exercise fatigue methods and basis. Methods: This study uses the self-control experiment design, the subjects were divided into control group(CON),neuromuscular electrical stimulation group(NMES)and active recovery group(ACT),respectively. And the power cycling exercise was carried out by increasing load until exhaustion. In order to induce exercise fatigue in the subjects, this experiment was carried out the exercise fatigue treadmill program which recommended by WHO.Each group of experiment includes three rides. The first exercise for 10 minutes, choose a recovery method to restore 20 minutes. The second exercise for 10 minutes, the same way to restore 20 minutes. The third time so that subjects exercise to exhaustion, record the last exhaustion time as an important indicator. The heart rate, blood lactate, muscle oxygen content, heart pump function index, and Rating of Perceived Exertion(RPE)and subjective pain were measured in the two recovery processes. Results:The exhaustive time in the control group, neuromuscular stimulation group and active recovery group were 624.14±125.38 s,725.14±103.03 s and 749.00±102.20 s respectively, and the active recovery group was significantly longer than the control group(P<0.05).At the 15 th minute of the second recovery, the heart rate of active recovery group was 74.88±8.04 bpm lower than the control group 86.13±12.12bpm(P<0.05).There was a significant difference in blood lactate between the active recovery group and the control group at the 15 th minute of the first and second recovery(P <0.05).The changes of muscle oxygen in active recovery group and control group were 40.88±6.85% and 22.50±9.02%(P<0.01).The recovery rate of muscle oxygen in active recovery group was significantly higher than control group(P <0.05).There was a very significant difference between active recovery cardiac output(CO)and control group at the first recovery of 5 minutes(P <0.01).The total peripheral resistance(TPR)of the active recovery group was significantly different from that of the control group(P <0.05).There was significant difference(P <0.05)in the subjective pain sensation immediately after exercise in the active recovery group. There was a very significant difference between the two groups in 24h(P <0.01).Conclusions: Active recovery can reduce the subject heart rate and blood lactate accumulation, improve muscle oxygen recovery efficiency, promote fatigue recovery thus extend the exhaustion time and strengthen the ability to exercise. There was no significant difference between NMES and control group.
