The research of Chinese mathematics education history is late.It mainly concentrated in nearly 80 years,and The research of middle school mathematics education is started with Wei Gengren.In the year since,the angel list projects in number of middle school,curriculum standards,textbooks,the research achievements of mathematics educators and academic papers written by the students,scholars select one or many from it for research of middle school mathematics education.In the Republic of China,culture and education of Sichuan was backward,because it is located in the remote southwest.But the new education after rise,it also developed at a rapid speed.During the wartime of Anti-Japan,a a lot of middle school also transferred to Sichuan.but researches of transfer of universities are more than researches of transfer of middle school.Therefore,according to what I look up in literatures and documents,I sort out the number of Sichuan middle school and the mathematics teachers' qualification during the period of the republic of China to reflect the education environment of middle school mathematics;I analyze Sichuan middle school mathematics curriculum arrangement,to understand the emphasis of middle school mathematics course;I search the middle school mathematics textbooks and test content,to reflect the middle school mathematics teaching content,characteristics,important and difficult;finally I introduce the education thought,of mathematics educators who has a great influence for Sichuan middle school mathematics education.This search roundly outline situation of Sichuan middle school mathematics from the above aspects.And my Specific work is as follows:(1)I find out the changes of the number of Sichuan middle school,the mathematics teachers' qualification and course arrangement during the period of the republic of China,and what were the textbooks in the late Qing Dynasty and during the Republic of China.Later period of the republic of China,a large number of middle school transferred to Sichuan by the war.So when I surveyed the the number of middle school,I focused on this period,and I select some typical middle schools,such as the local middle school(Chengdu County Middle School)and the middle school moved into Sichuan(State Northeast Zhong Shan middle school and Nankai middle school),and I detailedly described each of them.(2)The author looked up all of the educational records during the period of the republic of China in Sichuan Archive,and 30 sets of record.And I found out the Names of the mathematics textbooks that Sichuan middle school used widely.And according to the records,I add to the condition of teachers' qualification and course arrangement.(3)According to the books,papers and records,the author spent almost a year,and collect three sets of textbooks.The first one is the mathematics textbooks that Chinese middle school used widely in the late Qing Dynasty.The second one is the mathematics textbooks that Chinese middle school used widely in the the Republic of China.And The last one is the mathematics textbooks that Sichuan middle school used widely in the the Republic of China.I compared them,and summed up the features of the textbooks used in Sichuan.And I singled out some teaching material to present elementary and middle school mathematics teachers.In addition,this research compared course arrangement in the early of the Republic of China with which in in the late of the Republic of China.And I analyzed the complete status of students' test paper to find the difficulties for them.The following is my conclusion: In the Republic of China,the number of Sichuan middle schools,the teachers' qualification and the attention for Sichuan middle school mathematics course had increased dramatically;Most of middle school mathematics textbooks closed to life,and these books pay more attention to the cultivation of students' problem solving ability;Early of the republic of China,the quality of Sichuan middle school mathematics was relatively great,but the late,because of war,the national mathematics degree is low,Especially the geometry and trigonometry.
