The “Role play” teaching strategies can stimulate students' learning interest and enthusiasm,promote students' classroom participation and improve students' literacy.However,in the senior high school,the research of this strategy is less.This study assumes that the “ Role play ” teaching strategy can significantly promote the formation and improvement of High School Students' Biology Core Literacy,especially in the Life Concept and Social Responsibility.The objects of this research are grade one students of two parallel classes.In one class we utilize “Role play”teaching strategy and in another class we use general cooperative inquiry teaching strategy.Based on the self-made questionnaire of < High School Students' Biological Core Literacy> and post test volume to evaluate students before and after implementation of teaching.In addition,statistical method is used to analyze the differences and correlations.The results:(1)The Biological Core Literacy level of today's high school students does not reach the corresponding standard.And there exist differences in biological core literacy between male and female.What's more,biological examination papers can not effectively measure students' biological core literacy level.(2)The statistical inference shows that the research hypothesis is established.In other words,the “Role play ” teaching strategy can greatly enhance the students' participation in the classroom,significantly promote the formation of High School Students' Biological Core Literacy,especially in the Life Concept and Social Responsibility.Based on the above results,we suggests:(1)Cultivation of biological core literacy should be merged into high school biology teaching and teachers should adopt interactive and applicable method to enhance students' literacy that comes from knowledge.(2)Through selective “Role play” teaching strategies in the teaching process,teachers can change the depressing atmosphere and stimulate students' learning interest.
