The Design And Implementation Of Online Examination System Based On Struts Framework

The examination is an important part of the daily teaching activities of basic education school.With the reformation of basic education especially of examination stepping deeper,the traditional examination methods are not suitable for the education and teaching work under the new situation because of its long cycle time,low efficiency,fairness of artificial marking examination and so on.With the rapid development of computer technology and network technology and their popularity in the education field,the new test mode online examination shows more and more advantages.Through the online examination system,teachers can set examination types and subjects paperlessly in the system,and candidates can log into it and take exams whenever and wherever possible,which breaks through examination management and examination restrictions of space and time.Automatic system grading has improved the efficiency of examination management and the standardization level,has saved a lot of manpower and material resources,and has promoted the fairness of examination.It has important significance that researching,designing and realizing a more perfect online examination system has adapted to megatrend of the reformation and the development of basic education.In the system,the system development software Eclipse,used open source and based on Java,is adopted as integrated development environment(IDE).More popular network programming language JSP as the development language the backstage database uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005.Database server adopts Apache Tomcat as the web application server,and the client only needs to install the IE browser to log in using the the online examination system.The main structure of the system is B/S structure,in which the struts framework is designed and developed based on design pattern MVC.The system mainly includes two modules which are the foreground system and the background system.The foreground system is mainly used for the examinee registration and login system,online examination,examination results,modifying personal basic information and other functions.The backstage management system is mainly responsible for the system administrator to deal directly with the details of data management such as examinee information,course information,exam information,student achievement and so on.At present,the system function is relatively complete.After preliminary trials,it is basically suitable for the daily test and the practice need of the current basic education in middle school,and basically achieved the anticipated effects.In the future I will constantly improve the situation of the system according to the trial situation and feedback from the teachers and the students.So that it can serve for the basic education examination management better.So that it can play a more important role in providing timely feedback of the teaching and learning effect and in improving the quality of education.
