Effects Of Social Comparison And Forgiveness On Young Athletes's Sportsmanship

The present study aims to explore the effects of social comparison and forgiveness on young athletes' s sportsmanship.The participants come from Hubei sports teams,Wuhan Sports University squad and Wuhan Sports University.The research propose that the orientation of social comparison,the direction of social comparison,the similarity of the comparison,forgiveness and any other factors can directly predict the behavior of young athletes in sport.The main conclusions are as follows:1.Gender directly predict the sportsmanship.In the dimensions of instrumental aggressive behavior,scores of male were significantly lower than the scores of female;social norms,on sports moral respect opponents,has a significant impact of sports moral scores,sports life for 2-4 the youth sports moral movement was significantly higher than that of age greater than 6 years athletes;social norms,professional athletes and college athletes respect opponents,sports moral total score significant difference,college athletes sports morality was significantly higher than that of professional athletes;types of sports for young athletes,respect them instrumental aggression and sports moral total the score has significant influence on project non confrontational athletes was significantly higher than that of sports morality Adversarial athletes;2.Social comparison orientation can positively predict social norm,respect for the opponent scores,negative predictive instrumental aggression scores;influence of social comparison direction to respect your opponents,sportsmanship total score significantly;in respect of opponent dimensions,athletes no social comparison group scored significantly higher than the upward social comparison group athletes score;in the sports morality of the total score,no social comparison group of athletes was significantly higher than that of upward social comparison groups and individual athletes score;in social comparison,its influence and comparison of object gap on social norms,respect for the opponent,sportsmanship total score significantly;in the social norm,no comparison between group and individual large differences in group scored significantly higher than be on a par with group;respect for the opponent dimensions,no social comparison group of athletes scored significantly higher than notClose the gap between group and group;sports moral total score,no social comparison group scored significantly higher than the group of athletes to be on a par with;3.Forgiveness of others can positively predict social norms,the rules,respect the opposition dimension dimension and total score in comparison of sports ethics;in the context of forgiveness can positively predict the rules,instrumental aggression and sportsmanship score;Prefer 4 social and forgiveness variables on instrumental aggression dimension significant interaction,forgiveness of others can adjust the social comparison orientation predict instrumental aggression;in comparison,the interaction of social comparison direction and forgiveness variables in respect for the opponent dimensions significantly,forgiveness can affect the regulation of social comparison direction for young athletes respect the opposition dimension.
