World history was promoted to the independent first class of discipline in 2011.Then many universities successfully set up this discipline.Various colleges and universities have made some adjustments on curriculum context setting,course arrangements and disposition of teachers.In contrast,the situation of high school education of world history and the status of world history did not change.High school education of world history has many problems which people fail to notice it.In order to know the current situation of the world history education in high school,the author survey many high school teachers and students,this paper conducts a questionnaire survey on the current situation of high school world history in Kaifeng.Research has shown,High school World History Teaching there are many problems whether in the teacher's "teaching" Or in the student's “learning”.The teacher`s teaching method is outdated and their professional standard is low.Students have little interest or knowledge in world history.And their scores of world history are very low.The primary reasons are as follows.Firstly,the development of world history in high school is not mature,lack of teachers,the world history courses generally less.Secondly,the edition of the history textbook affects the teaching of world history.The proportion of world history in examination is small.So students pay a little attention on this subject,Students only “examination is from the”.Moreover,the professionalism of teachers in world history is low,the educational philosophy is lagging behind,single lecture style effects world history teaching.In addition,the teaching of world history is weak,The preparation of textbook,the teacher's history of the world also affected the high school history of the world teaching.With the development of globalization,more and more countries around the world attach importance to the teaching of world history.The world history of high school plays an important role in cultivating innovative talents and humanistic spirit of students.Learning history of the world can also cultivate students' view of global history and world history which helps students see the world from a more macro perspective.It is imperative to change the situation of current world history teaching in high school.First and foremost,we should cultivate the awareness of importance of world history,and increase the proportion of world history in the examination.What is more,we ought to change the way of edition of world history.Thirdly,enhance the vitality of teaching method.Finally,guide students to understand various historical views.Establish consciousness of the world and global historical thinking of students in high school which will help them to learn world history and broaden their horizons.Only by doing so,they can lay a good foundation of university study.
