| Population is one of the important factors of economic and social development,with the gradual emergence of the effect of family planning policy in our country,the main contradiction of population development has shifted from population to population structure.The problem of population structure has become the main restricting factor for the sustainable development of our country,such as the seriously fewer children,the rapid aging,the shortage of labor supply,the imbalance of sex ratio and so on.Balanced population structure is conducive to promoting the rapid development of economy and social stability.The population structure distortion will restrict the social and economic structure,weakening the power of economic development.Therefore,we must further study to the relationship between the population structure and regional economic development,then which will provide a scientific basis for the coordinated development of the two.This paper analyzes the characteristics of the spatial distribution of population structure in Gansu province by analyzing the evolution of total population structure,gender structure,age structure,urban and rural structure,industrial structure and cultural structure of Gansu Province.According to the unique geographical environment of Gansu Province,economic development conditions,using gray relational analysis model,quantitative analysis on the Gansu province population structure and regional economic relations,at the same time the temporal and spatial analysis of the coupling relationship of the characteristics,at the end of the Gansu province population structure and putting forward countermeasures and suggestions to the coordinated development of the regional economy.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The distribution of population in Gansu has a strong spatial dependence,and shows obvious spatial agglomeration and imbalance;population sex structure is relatively stable;the imbalance of the age structure,the reduction of children's population,the acceleration of aging,mainly in the areas of rapid shallow aging and slow shallow aging,the distribution of the elderly population showing regional differences;the process of population urbanization is speeding up,but the gap of its speed process,compared to the whole country,is large,mainly with low population urbanization,and the spatial difference of county territory's population is obvious;the distribution of population industrial structure is more reasonable;the level of population culture and education has significantly increased,and the overall quality of the population has steadily increased.(2)The correlation degree between the population structure of Gansu province and the index of the regional economic system is higher than that of 0.75,which is moderately and highly correlated;among them,the population of middle and old age,the labor force,the population of college and above,the population of the second and the third industry,the correlation degree of the urban population to the regional economy is higher than 0.80,which is highly correlated;the correlation degree between the regional economic indicators and the population structure is higher than 0.80,which is moderately high correlation,and the economy promotes the further optimization of population structure.(3)There is obvious spatial difference of comprehensive coupling degree between the population structure and regional economy in Gansu province;from 2000 to 2014,the coupling degree developed from low level coupling to coordinated coupling;however,antagonistic regions in the central and Hexi regions,are gradually increasing,and the mutual restriction between population structure and regional economic development has been strengthened.(4)From 1994 to 2014,the coupling degree between population structure and regional economy of Gansu province fluctuates from time sequence 0.795 and 0.863;which was manifested by the low level coupling to the coordinated and antagonistic development. |
