With the development of the world and talent competition,the cultivation of the individual leadership is particularly important.Leadership development is an important part of university education,this concept becoming a consensus.The emphasis on leadership in China is mainly focused on the field of business management,and it should be strengthened in university education.The degree of leadership of undergraduates and its influencing factors are the basic topics and whose theoretical and practical value is important in leadership research.Undergraduates' leadership refers to capabilities and potentials which these students use to make full use of related resources to organization and influence others to achieve the desired goal under a certain environment.The current academic research on the leadership of students is abundant,but relatively scattered,most concentrated in the student cadres groups instead of whole students,the research on the influencing factors of leadership is often from a single dimension and should be more systematic and in-depth.This research has measured the leadership of undergraduates by using the'College students' leadership assessment questionnaire' from Wong Wenyan,investigated the undergraduates' family background under the reference of Su Xin master's thesis,investigated the level of social participation and the level of school activities of undergraduates on the basis of 'College students' social participation scale' from Hu Zixiang and Chen Jie.After two times of pre-survey,the formal research has randomly selected 350 undergraduates to do the survey.The reliability analysis and factor analysis of the questionnaires were carried out to ensure that the questionnaire had high reliability and validity.After variance analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis,the results show that:the leadership of S university is the middle level among the nation;there are significant correlations between the family economic capital,the family cultural capital and the family social capital in the family background and the undergraduates'leadership and its three dimensions;there is a significant correlation between the level of social participation and the undergraduates' leadership and its three dimensions;the activities of the school are divided into two dimensions:organizational participation and learning,both of which are significantly related to the undergraduates' leadership and their three dimensions,the organizational participation shows the highest correlation coefficient among all elements.Through regression analysis,it's found out that family background,social participation and school activities can predict the degree of undergraduates' leadership and its three dimensions.According to the above conclusions,S university should optimize the curriculum system to enhance the leadership of undergraduates;university should educate and guide undergraduates to enhance the awareness and ability of social participation,enhance the campus activities'atmosphere,strengthen the function of community's leadership training,pay close attention to the leadership training of family economy of disadvantaged undergraduate.Reflect on the whole research,the extrapolation of the research conclusion needs to be cautious because the sample selection is limited to the S university,but it cannot negate the value of the case study,a following exploration to a wider range of sample with qualitative interviews worth waiting.
