| Environment is the foundation for the survival and development of mankind, but in recent years the deteriorating environment has seriously affected social production and people’s life. In order to curb the environmental degradation and enhance people’s awareness of environmental protection,environmental education has become a hot issue of subject teaching in the fields of education.The environmental education is carried out mainly through subjects in primary and secondary schools in our country. The rich environmental education resources in history provide a unique privilege for initiating the environmental education in the subject of history. At the same time, History Curriculum Criterion of Senior middle school and Guide-lines on Implementation of Environmental Education in Middle and Primary Schools both require to conduct environmental education in history class. Thus, the author carries out the research and investigation on environmental education in history teaching class in high school by employing a variety of research methods such as literature research, questionnaire survey and teaching material analysis.Besides the introduction and conclusion, the full text is divided into five parts.The first part mainly explains the meaning of environmental education and its significance.In the second part, the necessity and feasibility of carrying out environmental education in history teaching in senior high school are mentioned. Necessity is discussed from both the needs for controlling environmental degradation and the requirements of the curriculum standards. Feasibility is talked from two aspects: one is the rich environmental education resources in history; another is the effect of college entrance examination on environmental education.In the third part, both high school history textbook and environmental education relative to the typical content are analyzed. This part further analyzes the three textbooks for senior high school published by People’s Education Publishing House,and explores the content relative to environmental education from those textbooks.In the fourth part, taking two high schools in Zhengzhou Henan province as an example, this paper investigates of high school students and their historical teachers on environmental education in teaching. Then through the analysis of the questionnaire, this paper sums up the existing problems of environmental education in the history teaching and put forward countermeasures.In the fifth part, an environmental education case is discussed in history class in high school. Taking "the First Industrial Revolution" as an example,this paper designs a teaching plan for environmental education. |
