At present,our country is carrying out a new round of curriculum and instruction reform to develop quality education. Teachers are required to change their roles to be educational researchers. Promoting teachers'educational science research is an important way in the development of teachers, students, schools and society. The teachers in rural middle school are the key to develop rural basic education, so the teachers' educational research development should be the focus of attention. Because of the poor environment and resource shortages, the situation of teachers' educational research may be not very well.So this research intended to discuss the ecological status and the existing problems of teachers' educational research in rural middle school, at the meantime, put forward some suggestions based on the ecological view, which promote the sustainable development of rural middle school teachers' educational research.The main research methods adopted in this study are literature,questionnaires and interviews. Teachers from 9 rural middle school in Jingzhou County of Hubei Province were selected as the object. The results of the survey were analyzed by statistical software SPSS21.0. According to the survey, we found that the overall trend of the rural middle school teachers' educational science research was good, and it was mainly affected by three layers of ecosystem: government, schools and individual teachers. The government and the rural middle schools pay more attention to and support for teachers' educational research now. The consciousness and ability of teachers' educational research are gradually increased. However, the survey also showed some problems: government gave less chance of teacher training, inadequate financial support and inappropriate resource support;schools had bad educational research atmosphere, imperfect system and management,ignored the leading role of principals; teachers didn't understand their professional identity correctly and needed to improve their literacy and ability of educational research.Based on these existing problems, this paper puts forward some optimization suggestions. First of all, as the large ecosystem, government needs to provide the necessary policy support for teachers' educational research,such as training,resource and expenditure. Secondly, as the intermediate system, schools should not only create great atmosphere, improve the system and management, but also play the leading role of principals which can promote teachers' internal and external motivation. Finally, as the most important system, teachers need to change their knowledge, emotion and behavior,eliminate uncorrected understandings, improve their ability, do practical activities of educational research boldly.This paper consists of six parts: introduction, the theoretical basis of research, the investigation and data analysis, the problems analysis, the optimization suggestions,conclusion and expectation.
