The proposition of key competences is a new practice of educational reform, with the intention of moral education and the implement of quality education. Geography key competences include the concept of human and environment, comprehensive thinking quality, regional cognitive accomplishment and geographic literacy practice force.Comprehensive thinking is the basic thinking methods, including comprehensive thinking of elements, time and space, regions. Training comprehensive thinking of senior high school geography is a classroom teaching reform from thought to behavior, teachers to students.The main research methods used in this thesis are as follows, literature research method,classroom observation, and experiential summary method:First of all, the author reads literatures to comb international and domestic background of key competences and research status of comprehensive thinking quality.Then, the research contents are clear: comb the performance of comprehensive thinking,observe training status, and propose training strategies.And then, the author still reads relative literatures to find theoretical support of training comprehensive thinking. That is defining some relative conceptions(quality education, key competences, basic knowledge and techniques, three-dimensional targets,geography key competences, geography comprehensive thinking) and explaining some relative scientific theories(thinking theory, humanistic learning theory, discipline theory,geography teaching system theory). In addition, the author mainly summarizes the cognitive process of "four dimensions and two nature" of comprehensive thinking(understanding the essential nature of geographical things and phenomena integrally, systematically and dynamically, from the perspective of element composition,existence in space, development over time; understanding the regional nature of geographical things and phenomena integrally, systematically and dynamically, from the perspective of region)and the performance of comprehensive thinking.Then,based on the above preparation,the author observes classroom to find training status of comprehensive thinking of elements, time and space, regions. That is comprehensive thinking of elements without analyzing element composition and analyzing element deeply, comprehensive thinking of time and space without the switch of scale and application of thinking,comprehensive thinking of regions without analyzing logically.At last, for the above problem, the author comes up with some specific strategies and some general strategies with the learning and working experience. First of all;teachers and students should understand the concept of comprehensive thinking as soon as possible, strengthen the sense of comprehensive thinking, change their minds from remembering knowledge to understanding knowledge to organizing knowledge .Secondly, teachers and students should build the connections between comprehensive thinking and course content gradually, and then teach and learn course content with comprehensive thinking innovatively; Thirdly, the adjustment of classroom atmosphere,the design of problem situations, stimulation of learning motivation, the use of thinking tools is useful in training comprehensive thinking.
