"Ideological and Political Course Standards (Draft) of General Senior High School"advocate that in the process of curriculum implementation, teachers should promote the students’ cooperative learning and explorative learning, cultivate students’ innovative spirit, and improve students’ practical ability through creating the problem situation and organizing social activities. Based on this requirement, Yancheng city of Jiangsu province put forward the "Return learning initiative and guide thinking" classroom teaching reform action. The teaching idea meets the requirements of curriculum implementation,aims to let the students play a main role, so that students take the initiative to participate in the formation of the whole process of knowledge,access to subject knowledge,and improve thinking quality.Based on the teaching reform of Yancheng city of Jiangsu province, this paper firstly discusses the concept of "Return learning initiative and guide thinking",and then analyzes the theoretical basis of the teaching idea, including humanism , constructivism and Marxist human comprehensive development theory, and further enriched the theoretical connotation of the proposition.Secondly, the author, combined with his own teaching practice and disciplinary characteristics, try to construct the high school ideological and political classroom teaching mode under the teaching idea of "Return learning initiative and guide thinking".The first step is to create situations to stimulate students’ interest. The second step is to let students learn independent inquiry and cooperative inquiry. The third step is exhibition of learning achievement. The forth step is consolidating, reflecting and providing the principles that should be adhered to in implementing the model. Then,through the practice of the two kinds of classes including new class and review class, this paper provides a reference for the first-line high school political teachers to implement the model in classroom teaching.Thirdly, this paper also studied the effect of the model in the past year by means of questionnaire, interview and experiment control. Through the study, it is found that the implementation of this model has played a positive role in the growth of students,the development of teachers and the improvement of teaching quality of political discipline.But it is undeniable that due to the individual’s theoretical literacy and research ability is limited, there are still some problems in the implementation of this model, and this is the subject for further study.Finally, the author prospects the application of the ideological and political classroom teaching model in the high school under the idea of "Return learning initiative and guide thinking".
