As the carrier of knowledge, textbook is an important medium of communication,which is of great significance to the development of education. Through the collation of teaching materials, Lv Simian compiled National History of the Revival of High School Textbooks, Although many years have passed, historical thought and educational methods contained in the book which we can still study today.The whole thesis is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the background of textbook compilation. This thesis analyzes the important influence of the following aspects on Lv Simian's compiling of the book National History of the Revival of High School Textbooks. These aspects are the enacting of 'Ren Xu educational system' the promulgating of curriculum standards in 1932, the inadequacies in compiling National History of the Revival of High School Textbooks, the development of Lv Simian' s cognition in history,the rise of printing and publishing industry.The second part introduces the guiding ideology of textbook compilation, including curriculum standards, requirements of the times and secondary education. Learning objectives, time arrangement, syllabus and Implementation Methodology have pointed out the way for compiling textbooks. The requirements of the times are mainly analyzed from two aspects: the historical ethos and the influence of Liang Qichao's New Historiography. On the one hand, the secondary education should conform to the law of students' development in physical and mental. On the other hand, we should compile the textbook according to the standards of curriculum evaluation.The third part analyzes the structure and content of the textbook. In the structure,not only analyzes the text system,but also analyzes its text auxiliary system. The main features of the structural system are combination of different size of characters and annotation functions. On the one hand, its content is rich in the characteristics of the times and full of patriotic enthusiasm. Editorial ideology has obvious ethnic characteristics and is full of a strong sense of the time. Shistorical narrative is very close to the lower limit. On the other hand, they attached great importance to the close relationship between history and geography. And they put forward the importance of geography to the study of history.In the fourth part, the researcher makes an objective evaluation of the textbook, and realizes that the textbook is still of great value today. Lv Simian paid attention to the use of historical materials and appropriation of narration. And when he was recounting history, he only described the facts and did not participate in the discussion.In the teaching method, we advocate the use of flashback argument.Firstly, we talk about the current near modern history, to attract students' interest to learn ancient history, and then the ancient history and modern history to compare learning to achieve a multiplier effect.Compared with other textbooks in the same period, there are some shortcomings in structure of the book. However, National History of the Revival of High School Textbooks is an excellent history textbook and an excellent Chinese comprehensive history.
