As a carrier of knowledge and a tool for talent cultivation,textbooks have a far-reaching impact on the development of education.As the beginning of the compilation of Chinese history textbooks for more than one hundred years,the compilation of history textbooks of the republic of China is a great reference for the compilation of our current textbooks.Studying the history textbooks of the republic of China,we can not only know the transformation of modern society,but also understand the development course of history education.This is the reason why this paper studies Lu Simian's "Updating the History of China in Junior High School Textbook".it has five parts.The first chapter is the discussion on Lu Simian and the background of the compilation of "Updating the History of China in Junior High School Textbook".The education he received from his childhood has laid a solid foundation for his historiography,and his years of teaching experience has formed a complete set of historical educational thoughts,which have exerted an important influence on the compilation of textbooks.From the historical background,the promulgation of school system and curriculum standard,the introduction of western educational thoughts and the shortage of textbooks at that time directly promoted the publication of national history textbooks.The second chapter makes an in-depth study on the structure,content and characteristics of the "Updating the History of China in Junior High School Textbook".ln terms of structure,national history textbook can be divided into text system and text auxiliary system,which includes charts,notes,exercises and so on.In terms of content,the textbook is mainly written in plain Chinese,focusing on the history,and comprehensively showing the process of Chinese social changes from political and economic perspectives.In terms of its characteristics,the textbook is simple and clear,the style is plain,and it pays attention to the writing of the social life of the people,which also reflects the editor's grand vision and realistic care thought.The third chapter mainly discusses the role of "Updating the History of China in Junior High School Textbook" in current history teaching and history textbook compilation.The thought of historical education conveyed by Lu Simian in the textbook also has great guiding significance to the current history teaching.Contemporary history educators should not only clarify the purpose of history education,but also learn to use the teaching method flexibly,and pay attention to train students' historical thinking,so as to achieve the goal of cultivating students' professional quality.However,the compilation of history textbook should be guided by historical materialism,follow the basic principles such as systematicness,and choose contemporary and academic content.At present,the reform of basic education curriculum has entered the stage of comprehensive deepening.The new junior high school history curriculum standards and based on the compilation of the department of junior high school history textbooks have been used.Only by drawing on the successful experience in the compilation and use of history textbooks in middle schools at home and abroad,including the republic of China period,can we better cultivate the core quality of history for students,and realize the educational goal of cultivating people with morality.
