Function is the foundation of modern mathematics and the bond of mathematics.It is also one of the most important contents in high school mathematics.The quadratic function is extremely important in middle school,and it is also the learning basis of mathematics in high schoo1.As we all know,for the contents of the quadratic function of the junior high school,there are many difficulties in both of the student's learning and the teacher's teaching,this is a worthy subject.This article analyses and summarizes the difficulties of learning the images and properties of quadratic function by referring to some related literature.Besides,I did a questionnaire for students and made interviews with teachers.Then I made an analysis of the results of the questionnaire and summarized the difficulties students would meet when learning function and the reasons why it is difficult to learn it;teachers' views on the content of images and nature,difficulties encountered in teaching and countermeasures.I also get some strategies of dealing with the difficulties and put forward some teaching methods according to real teaching situations.The survey and interview results show the difficulties are as follows:first,quadratic function itself is difficult in some sense;second,there is abstraction of the properties so it is hard to understand:third,the thought of students is limited.This article puts forward some teaching strategies based on three aspects of the images and properties.Then I shall continually reflect,summarize and make improvement to get good teaching results.
