Study On The Humanistic Quality Cultivation Of Sports Training Major Students In Universities Of Hubei Province

According to several research studies, contemporary college students' Humanistic Consciousness has been severely weakened. With the development of science and technology, College Students' humanistic quality has become a great concern for people.Meanwhile, sports training major is a special part of university students which has higher requirements that demands for Second-Grade Athlete or above. There are some differences in humanistic quality level between sports training major students and general students because of long-time training. Aiming at the phenomenon, this study is trying to have a discussion about humanistic quality cultivation of sports training major students in universities of Hubei Province in the methods of questionnaire investigation and expert interview. 452 sports training major students and 54 teachers were selected as survey object, they were chosen from four colleges including CCNU and so on. This study is aimed to analysis humanistic quality cultivation of sports training major students in universities of Hubei Province from four aspects including humanistic knowledge,humanistic mind, humanistic method and humanistic spirit.Study shows that: (1) Sports training major students in universities of Hubei Province has insufficient understanding of humanistic quality cultivation. (2) In terms of humanistic knowledge,the correct rate of sports knowledge and philosophical knowledge show significant difference between students in different grades (P<0.05), no significant difference in other knowledge. The correct rate of legal knowledge, environmental knowledge and scientific knowledge show significant difference between students in gender (P<0.05). On the mastery of knowledge, 31.5% teachers take it for general. (3)In terms of humanistic thought, there exists significant difference between students in different grades (P< 0.05). There was a very significant difference between first-year students and grade three students (P < 0.01). There was no significant difference in the influence of gender on Humanistic Thought (P > 0.05). 31.5% teachers take it for general.(4) In terms of humanistic method, there exists no significant difference between students in different grades and gender (P>0.05). In the aspect of social practice and innovation ability, 29.6% and 32.4% teachers take it for good. (5) In terms of humanistic spirit, there exists significant difference between students in different grades and gender(P<0.05). In the aspect of aesthetic taste and spiritual life, 31.5% and 29.6% teachers take it for general. (6) The main factors that influence the cultivation of sports training major students' humanistic quality are divided into two aspects including subjective and objective. Subjective factors: the basic knowledge of sports training major students is relatively weak, the particularity of the students, and the lack of awareness of the cultivation of humanistic quality. Objective factors: the particularity of sports training major, social public opinion environment, family environment and campus cultural atmosphere.
