Ge Hongbing,the professor of Shanghai University holds that the essence of humanistic quality is a kind of transcendental thinking:"In fact,humanity,its fundamental idea is to think about human from the perspective of class,to think about the foundation of human's existence and thus there are following transcendental issues:human's nature,human's origin,the relationship between human and nature,the relationship between human and god and the relationship between human beings.Because humanity consider people from the angle of class,so we say that it is beyond the specific ethical work,existing beyond the limitedness." Ge Hongbing's philosophical interpretation of humanistic thinking reflects the fundamental significance of humanistic quality in human life.The cultivation of humanistic quality is the core of higher education talents training.Only with the conscious care of the human spiritual world and the high awareness of social and moral responsibility can universities really promote the social civilization and social progress.Compared with under graduates majoring in other fields,the way that the students in normal universities exist is particularly special.As future teachers who are "to propagate the doctrine,to impart professional knowledge,and to resolve doubts",normal college students are undoubtedly the intellectuals at the first place,existing with intellectuality.At the same time,their existence is of moral property,because of their responsibility to teach and educate people as well as to empower the country through education.Their humanistic quality directly affects the development of China's next generation and even the quality of education in China as a whole.The lack of humanistic quality in normal universities is an indisputable fact,which is manifested in the lack of humanistic knowledge,the lack of humanistic spirit and the unsynchronized relationship between professional quality and humanistic quality.Therefore,on the basis of the analysis of the current situation of the humanistic quality of students in normal universities,and taking poetry teaching as a possible perspective to break through the practical difficulties,this paper explores the practical needs of the cultivation of humanistic quality of students in normal universities under the perspective of poetry teaching by the study of the famous teacher G's life narrative through two aspects:social needs for teachers' professional development and individual needs for spiritual growth.The final goal of the paper is to put forward a reasonable path for the cultivation of normal university students' humanistic quality.Above is the organization of this paper.First of all,the examination of the plight of students in normal universities lacking humanistic quality.The reason can be analyzed from internal and external aspects.The orientation of inner life and the feeling of outer occupation are the internal reasons;social background,purpose and method of the implementation of humanistic education in normal universities are the external reasons.As a possible perspective to break through this dilemma,poetry teaching has its unique theoretical and practical value.The history,content and function of poetry teaching are closely related to humanistic education:the history of poetry teaching embodies the origin of humanistic education;the content of poetry teaching embodies the essence of humanistic education,and the function of poetry teaching embodies the function of humanistic education.On a theoretical level,the two Chinese traditional philosophies,“harmony between man and nature"and“inner saint and outer king",Provide the theoretical source for the cultivation of humanistic quality through poetry teaching.On a practical level,poetry teaching gives a direct reference to the cultivation of normal college students' humanistic quality in terms of value orientation,content selection and application of methods.How to position the practical needs of cultivating the humanistic quality of normal university students from the perspective of poetry teaching?Through the study of the life narrative of the famous teacher G in the field of poetry teaching,this paper explores the possible influence of poetry teaching on the humanistic quality as well on teachers'professional development in the practice of basic education from two aspects:motivation analysis and factor analysis.By the retrospection of teacher G's the life narrative,the paper aims to set the ideal state for the cultivation of normal college students' humanistic quality from the perspective of poetry teaching.It provides plausible theoretical and practical basis for teachers'future career development by meeting individual's demand for humanistic quality improvement.In accordance with the realistic need,there are two parts in the cultivation of normal college students' humanistic quality from the perspective of poetry teaching:constructing the humanism courses frompoetry teaching's angle,carrying out poetic humanistic activities.Constructing the courses takes priority.It includes the design of theoretical basis,the design of principles,the content selection and organization form.The discrimination of the relationship between theritual,music and poetry as well as the aesthetics education through poetry teaching together provide the theory and realistic basis for the courses;nationality,dialectic,systematicness and transcendence are the four basic principles of the course design;course content choose should be guided by poetry teaching.Meanwhile,it must abide by the objective and the basic content of normal universities' humanistic education.And the course embodies as immersive course and specialized.course;the organization form of courses has three types:subject courses,core courses and extended practice course.These three kinds of organization form complement each other,building a multi-dimensional poetic humanism course system for normal college students.In addition to the curriculum building,carrying out poetic humanistic activities is.also a basic method.Aesthetic factors in the activities,poetic experience during the activities and the combination of the explicit teaching and implicit teaching are the three basic guidelines in the process of poetic humanism activities.In the construction of the activities of“Chant,Read,Introspect",the guidance that enable normal college students to experience the beauty of classical poetry art is necessary as their humanistic quality will be improved and they will be empowered to better adapt to the role of future teachers through reading the classics and through introspection.
