A Study On The Ritual Language Of Miao In Goujie Countryside Of Yunnan Province

The Miao adore ancestors,spirits,totems and natural things,and there are many relative rituals.This paper choose the Goujie countryside of Yunnan Province as the research site,and take the local Miao ritual language as the research objec t.The cultural characteristics of the local Miao were explored through the "ritual language",which was best preserved and most primitive in the Miao language.Under the circumstances that the Miao ritual language is gradually influenced by C hinese and ma ny young people of Miao do not understand the Miao language,this paper puts forward some thoughts and suggestions on the protection and inheritance of Miao language and Miao ritual language.On the basis of the field research,the author believe that the local Miao ritual language is used in the various Miao ritual activities,including rituals speech,ritual lyrics,Lusheng words of ritual and ritual phrases.In general,Miao ritual language o f Goujie countryside is rich,meaningful and varied.It is the best preserved and most original part of the local Miao language.It's has the great significance for us to study the culture of Miao and Miao language.However,the language of local Miao ritual is different from languages of other place,and there's no further research on Miao ritual language,for which the reason why the author chooses to this topic to research.This article has seven sections,section one is introduction part,including the setting,significance and purpose of this article.It also introduces the former study systemically and defines some relative terms on this topic.The second section,that is chapter one,introduces different ritual language types and the occasions in which they are used.In chapter two,the writer analyses ritual language in terms of narrativity,variety,aestheticism grace and genuineness.C hapter three is centered on Miao ritual language,summarizes cultural characters of Miao ethnical group.C hapter four expounds the social function of ritual language from relative ethnical theories.In chapter five,some questions are posed for considering,in the protection and inheritance of Miao language and culture.In conclusion part,the main content and basic perspectives of this article are concluded.And some weakness and problems are pointed out.
