With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,the spoken English teaching in middle schools has been paid more and more attention.It has not only become one of the goals of foreign language teaching reform,but also become an essential requirement of quality education.However,looking at the general situation of Chinese spoken English teaching in high schools,we find out the actual condition is not too optimistic,because there appear various non-ecological phenomena in spoken English class.Therefore,this study will try to apply the principle of ecology,investigating the practical situation of spoken English teaching in high schools,analyzing and reflecting the non-ecological phenomena in current spoken English class,and on these bases,actively exploring the effective ways of constructing spoken English ecological classroom.The basic idea of ecological spoken classroom teaching is to organize the spoken teaching by means of the whole,developing and life teaching viewpoints.And the ecological spoken classroom teaching stresses that the natural,harmonious and happy classroom ecological environment should be created,the active roles of students should be respected in spoken English class,and the multi-level interaction between teacher and student should be strengthened to keep the dynamic balance and harmonious coexistence among teachers,students and environment.Besides in the ecological oral class,through dialogue,role play,group discussions,lectures,games and other abundant oral activities,students' interests of studying oral English are stimulated,and the learning methods and students' spoken English levels are improved,furthermore,the educational function of English classroom ecosystem can be realized.In this paper,the author tries to employ the questionnaire,class observation,and experiments to reply the following specific questions.Firstly,how is the present situation of spoken English teaching in senior high school? And what are the non-ecological phenomena in current spoken English class? Secondly,whether the construction of spoken English ecological classroom helps to increase students' interests in spoken English study or not? Thirdly,whether the construction of spoken English is conducive to improving the students' scores of spoken test or not?First of all,according to questionnaire and class observation,many problems are revealed in the class of spoken English teaching,that are non-ecological phenomena,mainly including the structural imbalance of spoken class.In order to figure out these questions,the author explored some effective ways of constructing spoken English ecological classroom,namely creatingcomfortable and harmonious ecological environment of classroom,building ecological relationships,implementing ecological teaching and learning and carrying out oriented evaluation mechanism.In order to prove the real effects of these approaches of constructing spoken English ecological classroom,the author selected two classes in grade one at a key high school in Jinan to carry out the experiment for three months,and they are divided into the experimental class and the control class.In the end,the students' scores of oral pre-test and post-test are collected separately,and then the data are analyzed by means of software SPSS.In the comparison of the post-test grades between the experimental class and the control class,P=0.023<0.05,which means that there is an evident difference in the students' speaking levels between the two classes after the oral experiment.Besides the students in the control class have lower marks in the post test than the students in the experimental class.The research shows that: Firstly,the construction of ecological classroom not only makes a positive influence on students' interests and initiatives of spoken English learning,but also cultivates students' positive attitudes towards practicing spoken English.Secondly,the construction of ecological classroom is conducive to improving students' oral performances and abilities,at the same time,promoting the spoken English teaching.
