Around the world the great development of higher education and its development in human society and play a dominant role in the national competition of an unprecedented increase,combined with the globalization of national higher education on the basis of open and interweave,wrangling and mutual learning,the development of a country's higher education has a global coordinates,a country also has the rise for the reference of higher;education power.Higher education in countries compete to rise,boarded the stage of higher education powers,slow modern higher education in our country,catching up.By a new China was founded in 1949,our country's higher education before and after rendering for two periods of character,this study inspected after a time,that is,since 1949 the development of higher education in China.During this period,the mass of higher education to become the world's widely occur within the scope of the higher education activity and phenomenon,and the higher education system itself bring significant influence factors of the structure and properties of relations.And the mass of higher education in our country,is a one fifth of the world's population of country's mass of higher education,is the world's most large-scale mass of higher education,we must give enough attention.Historically,the development of higher education is a continuous,after a stage on the basis of the previous phase continues to develop,so China's mass of higher education from the elite stage to stage,and even the whole process of the mass stage,can be called the process of mass of higher education.In the practice of the mass of higher education in our country,Martin Trow's stage theory became the main theoretical discourse,even by dogma.But the stage of Martin Trow's theory connotation and the essence and the development and change has long lack of comprehensive and accurate understanding,and even lead to the mass of higher education in our country in practice some of the pitfalls.Therefore,the first part of this article is the first of Martin Trow's theory to carry on the review and interpretation and analysis,a comprehensive and basic conclusion:Martin Trow's theory of higher education development stage,is it based on the reality of the development of higher education in the United States and European countries,with higher education enrollment rate of school-age population,with higher education the qualitative change of multiple dimensions into consideration,the development of higher education can be divided into elite mass of higher education,higher education and close to the mass of higher education of "learning society" the quality of the three stages of a unified,descriptive,non-target theory of early warning.The process of mass of higher education quality is a unified and standard,in 1999,our country's higher education in addition to the scale of enrollment expansion,also occurred,such as the implementation of the higher education law,the major issues of the implementation of "985 project",as a starting point,China's higher education stage before starting the obvious difference in the quality and quantity of the big change,so you can see in 1999 as China's mass of higher education started toward,rather than entering the first year.Based on this,in the process of the mass of Chinese higher education course in 1999 as the world is divided into two stages,1949-1998 for the first stage,the elite stage of development;Since 1999 as the second stage,the mass of start and stage of development by leaps and bounds.And the first stage(1949-1998),according to the development situation and can be divided into two periods:in 1949-1976 in tortuous development period of elite stage;Steadily rising period of 1977-1998 elite stage.Based on the first part of theoretical analysis of higher education mass,and the second and third part of the higher education of our country 60 years of ups and downs,has risen in a spiral of the road of development,the fourth part of this research generalization of higher education of the People's Republic of China of the success or failure of the entire development course,the experience and lessons,explore the general rule of the development of higher education and the Chinese characteristic,and five unified regularity conclusions and principle:the unity of the eligibility and the eligibility;Adaptation and stick to the unification of the;Independence and integrity of controlled;Higher education power should be the unification of the diversity;The reform in order to realize the unity of revolutionary and progressive,for our country's rising to the higher education power.
