The educational issues of Left-behind children in rural area influences the development of education in our countryside,and the development of rural educaion in our country benefits to shorten the gap between urban and rural area which can realize the aim of educational fairness. Therefore,research on left-behind children's intentions to continue studying after graduating from middle school and its influencing factors can help improve their intentions,let them get more education,and develop education,economy and society in our country.Under the background of rapid development of urbanization and rural -urban dual structure, a great deal of the rural parents chose to go out to work and leave their children at home.then the group of left-behind children came into being.According to the data,there were more than 9 million left-behind children who were under 16-year-old in our country by the end of 2016.A long-time separation between parents and children led to educational problems,mental problems and social problems of left-behind children which caught the attention of our government and society.Under the constraint of Law on Compulsory Education,most rural left-behind children could receive compulsory education,but the condition of getting education in senior high school was bad.The attending rate and enrollment rate of left-behind children in senior high school were both lower than normal children.This research finds out that left-behind children have strong willing to enter into senior high school or continue studying in city,then age,grade,studying attitude,economic situation,mother's job,scale of class and number of left-behind students are the influencing factors in the willingness of senior high school,and age,studying attitude,mother's education and average age of teachers are the influencing factors in the willingness of continuing studying in city.This study is divided into 6 chapters.The first chapter introduces the research background,research aim and research meaning ,then it comes to define the related concepts.The second chapter is about literature review which is in the classification of left-behind children's grades and the influencing factors of left-behind children's intentions to continue studying after middle school,then gives comments of these literature reviews.The third chapter tells study's design which concludes study's content,study's methods and study's sampling.The fourth chapter describes the intentions to have further education of left-behind children after middle school,tells the essential features of sampling,the condition of their intentions and comparison between left-behind children and non-left-behind children in the aspects of sex,types of parent-go-out,and grades.The fifth chapter is mainly about its influencing factors ,discusses the conclusions and rethinks.The last chapter shows the findings and gives some suggestions.
