As a special group of kids, rural left behind children's generation is closely related to the tide of the rural labor in China during the 1980's. Affected by the urban-rural dual structure, peasant-workers cannot have the same rights like urban residents, and their children are forced to stay in rural areas. Compared with urban children, the left behind children has disadvantages in many aspects such as educational starting point, educational process and educational outcomes. In order to turn this situation around, the administration, society and schools should work together to construct a effective management mechanism for rural left behind children's education.
