The 21st century is an age of knowledge economy.With the rapid development of science technology and communication of culture,requirements for the high-quality persons are becoming more and more urgent.Age of knowledge economy requires creative talents with individuality and all-round developments.Respecting the individuality of students is of great importance for education,which also obeys human's development.So in this sense,we must perform personalized teaching in our country.Personalized teaching is a kind of teaching activities in which teachers respect students'personality development and satisfy students' needs and also promote the healthy development of every student's personality.Therefore,under China's present educational conditions,personalized teaching can be a strategic selection.Howard Gardner,psychologist of Harvard University,brought up the Multiple Intelligence Theory.He thinks that people have diverse intelligences but everyone's intelligence varies from person to person.In other words,everyone's intelligence level can't be exactly the same,and all have their own intellectual superiority and their own learning style.Therefore,schools must consider the differences of students' intelligence and teach students in accordance of their ability,in order to maximize each student's intellectual superiority and improve the development of students' potential.In this sense,school can achieve every student's individualized learning.Through several years' work in NO.17 Middle School,the author finds there are some problems that exist in English teaching,which delays the performing course of personalized teaching.So by absorbing the studying results of previous studies,the author introduces personalized teaching in High School.Based on the actual situation of NO.17 Middle School,the author tries to explore personalized teaching strategies of English teaching in the school.In the study,the author mainly explores personalized teaching strategies for High School and this part will be elaborated according to the teaching process.The author uses some research methods,such as the literature review,questionnaire and teacher interview.In order to explore personalized teaching in high school,the author makes some experiments on the students in NO.17 Middle School.And the results show that(1)Personalized teaching can motivate students ' learning enthusiasm in English and make students active in learning English and increase class participation;(2)Personalized teaching can improve students' English learning ability and increase learning level;(3)Personalized teaching is fit for English teaching in high school and the author find the English teaching strategies suitable for NO.17 Middle School.In this study,the author introduces the Multiple Intelligence Theory into English teaching as theatrical foundation and carries out personalized teaching in high school,which is a new attempt and can contribute other English teachers to carrying out ongoing teaching.Also,some references are provided for the other courses.Through a year study,the author finds that my students ' English learning enthusiasm has been greatly motivated,and everyone finds some suitable learning methods.And much to the author's relief,students' English degree is also improved.
