The group cooperative learning method is often accompanied by the emergency of education reform. The first indicator of effective reform is classroom efficiency, which is achieved through the interaction between teachers and students during the 45-minute classes, including direct interaction, indirect interaction, the comprehension of students in classes and their application after classes. Under such a goal, the application of the group cooperative learning method is more and more necessary.The group cooperative learning method has always been paid much attention by educators. With the deepening of researches and the widespread application, the problems of the group cooperative learning method are highlighted; the same is true for the thinking of how to optimize the application of this method in classes. This research studies the application of the group cooperative learning method in the ideological and political teaching classes in senior high schools, which can be divided into three parts.The first part mainly introduces the theoretical basis of the group cooperative learning method, and the changing process of attitudes of domestic and foreign educators toward this method; analyzes the current situation of the group cooperative learning method in classes domestically and abroad, and the enlightenment of the application of this method in high school ideological and political teaching classes.The second part primarily defines the group cooperative learning method, analyzes the features of this method, and expounds the necessity of applying this method in high school ideological and political teaching classes, including conforming to the requirements of curriculum reform, adapting to the mental development process of teenagers, improving the quality of teachers, overcoming the shortcomings of traditional silent classes, activating high school ideological and political teaching classes and optimizing the efficiency of classroom teaching.As for the third part, I explore the problems of the group cooperative learning method in high school ideological and political classes through analyzing the cases I have collected during my internship in the Forty-ninth Middle School in Wuhan. The problems include the application of only the form of the group cooperative learning method for the purpose of meeting the requirements of curriculum reform, the inappropriate division of groups, the failure to achieve the optimum efficiency of group cooperation for lack of evaluation to the participation level of group members, the absence of cooperative meanings of the arrangement of some tasks in the process of group cooperative learning,and the lack of enlightenment of some questions brought up in the group learning process.In terms of these questions mentioned above, I further analyze how these problems are formed and what we can do to solve these problems.
