Human resource management as an emerging discipline, started in the late 1970 s and 1980 s, has been a dominant management mode of many western countries through continuously study, development and improvement since it was introduced in our country in the mid 1980 s. Although human resource management is an emerging discipline, it is widely known and applied by many administrators for its high efficiency. The core philosophy of human resource management is “to put people first” the same as the one of the middle school ideological and political education. Nowadays, due to the less effectiveness of the ideological and political education in the middle school, human resource management is worthy of studying.Many HRM ways in HRM theory are similar to the ways of the middle school ideological and political education, for example, incentive reinforcement theory agreeing with incentive education methods, allotropic theory agreeing with cooperative inquiry study, abilities matching positions theory agreeing with interest group learning. Therefore, it is not only helpful for expanding teaching and learning methods but also good for improving students' independent learning ability and independent innovation ability to apply HRM theory into the middle school ideological and political education classes, and the teaching effectiveness is sure to be increased at last.This thesis falls into four parts to analyze the functions of HRM theory in increasing teaching effectiveness of ideological and political education classes of middle school. Many methods have been applied in this thesis like the literature analysis method, logical inductive method, cases study method, individual interview method and so on.The first part is theory summary of teaching effectiveness of ideological and political educat ion classes of middle school and HRM. This part mainly introduces the definitions of teaching ef fectiveness of ideological and political education classes of middle school and emphasizes the ne cessity of increasing teaching effectiveness of ideological and political education classes of midd le school. The definitions and theory origins of HRM and incentive theories of HRM have been a pplied in this part.The second part introduces that HRM theories agree with some methods in teaching effectiveness of ideological and political education classes of middle school, which includes six aspects: one, incentive reinforcement theory agree with incentive education methods; two, allotropic theory agreeing with cooperative inquiry study; three, abilities matching positions theory agreeing with interest group learning; four, Complementary optimization theory agreeing with model education methods; five, fair competition theory agreeing with comparative teaching methods; six, subjective initiative theory agreeing with self-education methods.The third part, taking part of incentive theory as an example, furtherly introduces the details of the applications of HRM theory for increasing teaching effectiveness of ideological and political education classes of middle school. This part mainly introduces the definitions and specific applications of achievement need theory, two-factor theory, expectation theory and equity theory. The second part and the third part, as the main bodies of this thesis, have been written in details.The fourth part introduces some common mistakes which should be avoided when HRM theory is applied to increasing teaching effectiveness of ideological and political education classes of middle school. This part mainly introduces five common mistakes: the halo effect, the projection effect, the primacy effect, the recency effect and the Matthew effect. Teachers of middle school ideological and political education should find out these mistakes, which is good for organizing teaching activities and increasing teaching effectiveness.In a word, I sincerely hope that this thesis could do some help for teachers of middle school ideological and political education.
