Research Into The English Assignment Correcting For Primary School Students In The High Grades

In the English curriculum standard,there is a clear requirements which promote the improvement of students' comprehensive quality by learning English.Homework as an important part of English teaching activities,the homework correcting can also affect the effect of the development of students' comprehensive ability.For now,however,there is a few researches about English homework correcting.Therefore,it is necessary to do the in-depth research.In this paper,the writer takes four primary schools of X area in He Fei for example and chooses English homework correcting as the breakthrough point.Then the main investigation is the current situation of high grades in the primary school English homework correcting,and detailed analysis and research.According to the student questionnaires and the teacher interviews.It is easy to find that there are also some problems such as the objective of English homework is too simple;the types of English homework is too formal;the range of English homework correcting is too comprehensive;the standard of English homework correcting is too exam-oriented;the subject of English homework correcting is too centralized;the symbols of English homework correcting is too simple;the results of English homework correcting is too hierarchical;the comments of English homework correcting is too indifferent;the rewards and punishment of English homework correcting is too formal;the reflection of English homework correcting is insufficient and the gap between teacher's heart exactly to “supply” and students anticipation.The reasons for these problems are mainly the following aspects: students' consciousness of “human rights” is not enough;parents overall quality level is limited;both the training for English teacher and the decision of English homework correcting regulations and the examination and assessment system are not sufficient;English teachers' high work load and the lack of correct homework correcting concept and the quality of faculty members.There are some suggestions for students,parents,schools and teachers.For students,the students should communicate with teachers on their own.For parents,they should enhance their level of education.For schools,the main suggestions include that:strengthen the training of teachers,strengthen the guidance of parents' education concept,strengthen the inspection of English teacher corrects homework system;For teachers,the main suggestions include that:set up the correct view on homework before correcting English homework;innovative correcting in the course of correcting English homework;timely feedback to students after correcting English homework.
