Based on the theory of planning behavior in social psychology,this paper explores the influencing factors and influencing degree of online social participation of Old Kid’s users by means of questionnaires.And on this basis,it further analyzes the characteristics of the online social participation of the elderly,and its realistic and cultural factors embodied in this feature,and puts forward relative advices to promote the elderly social participation on the network platform.It is found that the three major variables behavioral attitude,subjective norms and perceived behavior control all have a positive correlation on the online social participation of elder people.For participation willingness,the normative norms in the subjective norms variable shows the greatest impact on the willingness of the elder people to have online social participation,followed by the self-efficacy in the perceived behavior control variable,and last emotional attitudein the attitude variable.And for degree of participation,the normative norms in the subjective norms has the greatest influence on the social participation of the Old Kid’s users,followed by the self-efficacy in the perceived behavior control,and the instrumental attitudein behavioral attitude.The characteristics of the elderly’s online social participation and its cultural and realistic factors behind them are further analyzed and interpreted based on the conclusion.Its characteristics mainly are several aspects: its strong social participation and new participation model;Strong community awareness and the pursuit of social belonging;seeking recognition and certainty of their ability.And several cultural phenomenon like elderly sub-culture and cultural feedback are reflected in these characteristics of the elderly’s online social participation.
