Chinese culture is one of the foundations of learning Chinese. Therefore, understanding it can be of great help to all learners. Although most people taking the Thai Chinese Aptitude Test do not consider questions about Chinese culture to be the most difficult ones, this part+ can still be very problematic. Because of a wide range of question in this part of the exam, there are no universal norms present, which makes preparation very difficult Furthermore, the Chinese learning aids are scarce. At present, the Chinese culture test has been taken place for 7 years and consists of 140 questions. This paper researches the content of the exams from 2009 to 2012 and focuses on its content and the attitude of students and teachers towards it.Examinees and Chinese teachers from five schools participating in the exam (PAT7.4),namely Sukhothai Wittayakom School, Sa-Nguan Ying School, Kanjanapisek Wittatalai School, Satree Phuket School and BanhanjamsaiWittaya 1 School, were used to analyse types of questions and their content, as well as to find any underlying problems. This study aims to use the results of the research to suggest ways to raise the quality of the Chinese Aptitude Test and to raise performance of examinees.
