A Comparative Study On Admission System Of Universities In China And Yemen

The university student enrollment system includes the enrollment policy,the form of enrollment,the entrance examination and the way of admission.Although in recent years the comparative study of different cultural backgrounds of university enrollment system increasing,but mainly focused on China with Europe and the United States and other major developed countries as a comparative study,but the comparative study on the relationship between China and the Arab countries are relatively scarce.Therefore,as Arabian student studying in China,the author chooses a comparative study between China and Yemen university enrollment system as a research object.The main research objective is to analyze the university enrollment system of China and Yemen and Find the similarities and differences between China and Yemen university admission system and the main reasons.Based on this idea,the author revealed the development and changes in university admission system in order to conclude the beneficial enlightenment which could help to reform Yemen university enrollment system,improve the system and strengthen the system gradually with world university admissions standards.Research on university enrollment system is based on the clear definition concept of the China and Yemen college admission system and analyzed the development process,and then discussing the status of enrollment system in China and Yemen.It also based on find out the similarities and differences between universities in enrollment system,examination system and the admission system.Based on the similarities and differences between universities in enrollment system,the author focused on analysis both internal and external reasons of difference between the two university enrollments system.Finally,Explains the Enlightenment of the comparative study of the two countries' college admission system.By comparison and analysis,this paper found that the similarities between China and Yemen university admission system is mainly manifested in:enrollment system reflects the independent enrollment right,enrollment target is dominated by high school graduates,examination system is divided into science and art sections,the unified national examination time is basically the same.With regard to enrollment system,the high school uniform examination is considered as the main measure,and arts and Sciences sections of the professional admission are greatly limited.The difference is mainly represented in:enrollment scope division and time of recruit students of different;arts and Sciences specific examination subjects division and test scores released at different time;admission,admission time and admission criteria system different.Throughout studying the factors of enrollment system in China and Yemen,we found that the main internal factors is:the difference of historical tradition,the difference of universities number scale and the education system is different from the objective of training talents,mainly due to the difference of economic development level and political situation in Yemen.Comparative study of China and Yemen university enrollment system suggests that should be appropriate to expand the independent recruitment,improve the public service system of university enrollment,strengthen the status of the national unified examination,and improve the college entrance examination paper marking system,promote the admission way diversification and the establishment of a sound system of admission standards.
