Research On The Employment Problems Of Students In Art Vocational Colleges

Nowadays,along with the popularity of higher education reception in China,the number of college graduates has been increasing year by year,which leads to employment tension.The annually increasing number of graduate students has reach from 1.07 million in the early 21 st century to 7.65 millionin 2016,whilst the employment rate in recent years has dropped from more than 80% to 70.06%.In particular,due to the growing “art test hot”,the number of art school graduates rises at a high speed,resulting in the more prominent employment problems.The employment problems faced by art school graduates are caused by the following three major factors: national policies,institutions and students per se.In this case,how to take effective measures to better solve the employment problems of art vocational college students will be the theme for this paper to study and explore.Taking A Province drama vocational college as an example,methods such as survey,literature retrieval and individual interview will be mainly used in this paper.Through interviewing in-school students,teachers,a number of employers and college employment instructors,combined with analysis of fresh research data,this paper will summarizethe employment problems of art graduates in vocational colleges.Given on this basis,it will conduct reason analysis so as to propose feasible resolutionto their employment problems.To specify,this paper will summarize the characteristics of students in art vocational colleges in China first;then it will study the case of A Province drama vocational college and try to summarize the employment characteristics of art graduates such as informal employment,low quality of employment and regional limitation of employment,so that it can probe into deeper analysis of the causal factors including social demand,national policy,the overall quality of students,the major settings of colleges,as well as employment instruction.On this basis,this paper will give some suggestions on how to improve the employment status of art graduates in vocational colleges from the perspectives of national policy guidance,the major settings of colleges,implementation of employment instruction and the improvement of students' overall quality,in order to enhance students' employment competitiveness.
