A Study On The Development Of Ethnic Social Work In The Western Community Of Dawan North Road In Urumqi City

With the transformation of Chinese society,the economy in western China obtained fast development.In the meantime,there have been new contradictions such as the widening gap between eastern China,which has caused other social problems,seriously affecting people’s quality of life and the social harmony and stability in ethnic region.With the increasing support from the central government,how to strength the social organizations and professional’s role in alleviating social contradiction,provide social services,promote social welfare and promote social harmony,have been attracting the researchers’ attention.The development issue in the ethnic social work have stepped into the sights of the researchers.The social work of Urumqi has made remarkable achievements in recent years,which has played a positive role in the harmonious development of multi-ethnic communities and national unity.At the same time,there are some shortcomings in the process of service development.We should be aware of these deficiencies in order to achieve better development of national social work.This paper takes the western community of Dawan North Road in Tianshan District of Urumqi as an example to discuss the problems and constraints in the development of national social work service and put forward relevant suggestions and countermeasures.The dissertation is composed of introduction,text and epilogue.The research part introduces the research background,expounds the research purpose and significance,reviews the research status of national social work at home and abroad,combs the researcher’s view,introduces the research theory and the research method.The first chapter analyzes the characteristics of national social work and defines the basic concepts such as "social work" and "ethnic social work".The importance of developing social work in ethnic areas and the role of national social work in promoting the harmonious development of ethnic areas.The second chapter introduces the development of community social work service in Urumqi in recent years,then introduces the basic situation of multi-ethnic community in Urumqi,and introduces the development of social work service in the western community of Dawan North Road.Finally,the paper analyzes the positive role and difficulties of social work service in the case of "Rainbow Plan Community Children’s Soccer Team".In the third chapter,based on the theory of social ecosystem,this paper analyzes the problems and constraints in the development of national social work service by means of literature research,field investigation(interview)and comparative research.The fourth chapter,on the basis of analyzing the restrictive factors of the work of national society,puts forward some suggestions on how to give full play to the role of national social work in promoting the harmonious development of ethnic areas.Conclusion,the full text of the reflection and summary,pointed out the lack of this study and put forward the relevant inspiration.
