Ethnic social work is becoming an important part of social work.Our country is rich in ethnic cultural heritage,especially in ethnic minority areas.Their cultural heritage contains all peoples’ cultural genes and intelligence,which have been deeply rooted in the production and life of all ethnic groups.However,with the acceleration of economic globalization and modernization,the cultures of all ethnic groups are being affected by various ideological trends.Under such a background,where should the ethnic culture go?How can we inherit ethnic culture better?As an ethnic group in Yunnan,the Bulang ethnic group has profound historical accumulation and distinct cultural characteristics.And cultural inheritance needs the joint efforts of each individual of the ethnic group.From the perspective of ethnic social work,this paper focuses on the children group of the Bulang Ethnic group in Zhanglang Village Menghai County,Xishuangbanna Autonomous Prefecture,Yunnan Province.Firstly,it establishes a relationship with the target group through field visits and analyzes the performance of the Bulang ethnic culture in the village through questionnaires and unstructured interviews.To understand the basic situation of Zhanglang Village children’s inheritance of their ethnic culture,investigate the local children’s understanding of village history,art and culture,ethnic history;Secondly,it evaluates and analyzes the difficulties and needs of children in inheriting their ethnic culture.And design the team service plan;Under the guidance of cognitive behavioral theory and superiority perspective,the method of group work is used to intervene to improve the low cultural consciousness of the group.Ethnic minority groups,as a vulnerable group,are the inheritors of cultural heritage.Only when they fully embody their dominant position in the process of inheriting cultural heritage,can their cultural self-confidence be enhanced.This is consistent with the values of social work to help others help themselves and promote social fairness and justice.Through the study of this paper,the author makes reflection and puts forward corresponding suggestions,hoping to enlighten and think for the researchers who study this group or this field in the future.In general,group work involves in the study of children’s cultural inheritance,improves the cultural confidence,cultural consciousness,cultural learning,cultural inheritance and cultural development of children in Zhanglang Village,and maintains a high degree of village Brown cultural identity.
