| Land,is the foundational factor of traditional Chinese farmer.It is also the essential element of Chinese rural culture.The relationship of farmer and land is more of the connection of culture and age than the correlation of human and material.In the rapid progress of urbanization,the significance that rural land means to farmers has changed greatly.For Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,which experienced great-leap-forward development,the value of rural land has far more went beyond the ordinary existence.It is now as a cultural structural factor which leaves a deep imprint to the social organism.This essay is based on the field research in Xiqu village,Qinqu Irrigation District,Ningxia.By recording the cultural life of farmers,this essay extends "the value of land" to "the sense of land".It reveals the profound changes of the political,economic,cultural and social life of farmers.It describes the dialectical relationship between the change and the steadiness and the contradiction lies in them.By peeling the cast off the land habitus,this article re-comprehends the core significance of rural land on which the new policy and new market order leaves an obvious influence.Combining the ethnic minority Hui,who considers the material life and spiritual life as one thing,this text thus merges the two life together,making an empirical ethnic sociology analysis on the farmers whose identity is constantly changing.This essay explains the cultural tension of the foundational effect of rural land in such a pluralistic society and the agricultural modernizing background.Thus,the rural land is not just a single unit for any research.It is ought to be considered as the "culture of culture",as the practical sense bored with nationality.There is a structural relationship between environmental factors and the sense of land.It is advisable to separate the research from the stereotype of classification preset,and rethink the practice paradigm of rural construction.This essay provides an innovative perspective on the development of minority ethnic rural areas and promote the construction of its urbanization. |
