Critical thinking ability is one of the basic qualities that citizens need in the information age.In the past 30 years,foreign scholars have carried out in-depth research on how to cultivate students' critical thinking.Since the introduction of critical thinking in China in the 1980 s,we have formed the preliminary literature on the related work in the aspects of literature translation,definition of concepts and the cultivation of strategies.Domestic scholars for the critical thinking ability of middle school students to do less empirical research,for this choice of less developed Yan'an urban areas as an example to study.This paper explores the present situation and influencing factors of critical thinking ability of high school students in Yan'an city by questionnaire and interview.The results show that the critical thinking ability of high school students presents the following characteristics: First,between different grades,the critical intention of students and critical thinking ability is different,sophomore students in both areas are stronger than high school and third year students,But there is no significant difference;second,the student's academic performance can reflect the strength of critical thinking ability.Excellent students,critical thinking ability is significantly stronger than the students in the results.At the same time,physical performance can also reflect the ability of students to analyze and summarize;Third,the student's gender differences,making the critical thinking ability is different,but there is no significant difference.The main influencing factors are: the learning environment of the students,the critical thinking intention of the teachers and the teaching ability,and the individual characteristics of the students.In this regard,the author puts forward three strategies to cultivate students' critical thinking ability: First,create an environment conducive to the development of students' critical thinking ability;the second is to enhance teachers' critical thinking consciousness and practical ability;Third,to guide students Correctly understand the importance of critical thinking and develop critical thinking habits and good personality quality.
