The spread and learning of a language are closely related to a type of a media.As an important medium of both input and output,reading,especially the leveled reading materials play a significant role in the process of language spread.Moreover,reading materials which are interesting,scientific can serve both as a symbol of well-developed language spread and a effective method for learners to study a new language.Leveled reading is designed for the special reading group to apply to their reading habits and psychological development.In this fact,graded readers that tailored for primary for Chinese learners(mainly children)resulted from an increasing wave of learning Chinese in nowadays world and a major trend of children-oriented learners.The main objectives in teaching Chinese as a second language are to nurture the students’ listening,oral speaking,reading and writing abilities.The cultivation of the students’ reading ability goes beyond the practice to learners’ reading ability in the class,it’s more important that the Chinese learners should use the knowledge to make better comprehension in the reading materials.Now,it’s hard to find a suitable after-class reading materials for the Chinese learners.But for English,the situation is very different.There are many well-developed leveled reading materials,the English learners can find the suitable reading materials without any difficulty.It enlighten us that it’s a good method to absorb the advantages from the English leveled reading materials.Focusing on the following parts:frequency of words recurrence,average sentence length,grammar level,the theme of story and illustrations,this thesis summarizes research method and strategies of previous seniors,presents and solves some problem.The research indicates that a scientific grade standard fundamentally decides appropriate grading of Chinese children materials for foreigners and a professional collaboration guarantees its well development.
