The construction of curriculum resources is the key issue in the reform of basic education curriculum in our country.With the reform of the curriculum,the importance of curriculum is growing.The development and utilization of curriculum resources in kindergarten attract more and more attention.It is pointed out that the kindergartens both in city and countryside should make full use of all kinds of education resources to establish curriculum that suits the local infants in the Teaching Guideline for Preschool Education published by Ministry of Education.The rich culture of Yi Nationality provides Chuxiong,one of the two Yi Autono mous Prefectures in our country,with good condition to develop and utilize the curric ulum resources in kindergarten.Preschool period is critical for the self-concept and so cial development.Only by learning the excellent culture of their nation and have deep affection for it,will the infants try to inherit,protect and develop their national culture in the future.So,bringing the Yi culture into the development and utilization of the curriculum resources in Preschool Education is essential for the growing of infants and the inheritance of national culture.This paper takes the case study as its method of study and aims to take A kindergarten in Chuxiong city in Yunnan province in China as an example to make a survey about the present situation about the development and utilization of curriculum resources of Yi culture.The methods of observation,interview,documentary and text analysis will be involved in this study.Besides,an analysis will be made about the past experience and the existing shortcomings on the basis of this study.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part of the paper is the introduction.This part will describe the reasons for selecting the topic and explain the purposes,significance,methods,and objects of the study.Meanwhile,a theoretical basis of the study will be further expanded in this part.At last,a summary about the research achievements of predecessors will be made and a definition of the core concepts in this study will be cleared in this part.The second part includes an overview of Yi culture in Chuxiong and an exploration of education value in the kindergarten.It is based on the division of culture made by Zhang dai nian,who is an expert in education and culture.In addition,an introduction will be made in this part according to data and materials accessible and referred to about the Yi culture in Chuxiong city.And an analysis in four aspects,namely,moral,intellectual,physical and aesthetic will be made about the value of Yi culture in kindergarten education.The third part is about the current situation of development and utilization of Yi culture in kindergarten curriculum resources and its analysis.It will present the current situation of development and utilization of Yi culture in kindergarten curriculum resources in three aspects: firstly,teachers' understanding of it,secondly,the content of it and thirdly,the way it develops and uses.Lastly,a summary will be made about the experience and the existing deficiencies in the development and utilization of the curriculum resources.
