As a major exporter of people,Szechwan province has lots of left behind children,and the number of them is growing year by year as well.Because of scarcity of resources,poor teaching conditions and mountainous terrain in the west of the country,the reading environment is poor for left behind children.Children receiving the compulsory education are just starting to reading and have a weak reading ability.The New Course Standard advocates that teachers should pay attention to extracurricular reading.However,teachers don't take it seriously.Xichong,a poverty-striken country in Szechwan province,has backward economic conditions,and its main financial income relies on agricultural production.Migrant workers' increase makes left behind children growing each year.Teachers don't pay much attention to students' extracurricular reading.There are difficulties for students to get access to rich extracurricular reading resources.In conclusion,the problem of extracurricular reading of left behind children who receive compulsory education is serious in Xichong and needs to be solved as soon as possible.Therefore,this paper analyzes the condition of extracurricular reading of left behind children in Xichong from following three parts.The introduction part introduces research origin,research significance and value,research status summary,research content,research ideas,research methods,key points and difficult points and innovative points.The first part of the main body discusses the current situation of Chinese extracurricular reading of left behind children in Xichong and mainly analyzes the current situation of left behind children and Chinese extracurricular reading of left behind children.The author finds the situation is not optimistic.Left behind children receiving compulsory education don't do enough Chinese extracurricular reading,and effects of their reading are not good.The second part of the main body analyzes what causes the current situation of Chinese extracurricular reading of left behind children in Xichong.And the author is mainly from family,school,society and children themselves to analyze it.There are following main reasons to cause this problem: collapse of the traditional family structure model,low education of the guardian,incomplete reading condition of school,little attention of the society for Chinese extracurricular reading of left behind children,insufficient support of the government for Chinese extracurricular reading of left behind children and reading problems of left behind children.The third part of the main body proposes the suggestions and thoughts for Chinese extracurricular reading of left behind children based on family,school,society and children themselves.The main suggestions are following: family should improve education level;schools and teachers should support and complete students' reading environment;society should make up the program that benefits left behind children to do Chinese extracurricular reading;left behind children should enhance their reading ability.The conclusion part summarizes the current situation of left behind children and describes the future research outlook.
