In recent years, Chinese economy has made an expedite development, But as a transitional country, China is facing many challenges, rural left-behind children is one of the social problems of our country. They received extensive attention of all sectors of society as a special social group. In Chinese academia, more and more scholars begin to research this social problem of rural left-behind children by studying them mental health.The long-term lack of family education results in the rural left-behind children's psychological defects. For example, the rural left-behind children often show psychological characteristics such as irritability, anxiety, inferiority and eccentricity compared with other children. At the same time, the rural left-behind children are easily to mood swings in their learning and life and exert a jaded and hateful psychology on the surrounding environment. No matter in their emotional expression, interpersonal communication or personality, the defects exist. The middle school is an important period for the development of their life, if those psychological problems cannot be solved in the middle school stage, it will have a negative impact on their whole life.Many middle school teachers draw a conclusion from teaching experience that extracurricular sports can improve the rural left-behind children's psychological problems, and it have an active impact on their psychological status. The Yong Feng middle school had obtained a good effect on being integrated extracurricular sports into the rural left-behind children's normal school life to improve their psychological problems. However, this attempt also stays in the stage of teaching experience, and it did not be proved by scientific reasoning and systematic research. This thesis studies the psychological status of the rural left-behind children in Yong Feng middle school by random drawing them as the main experimental research object, combining with the relevant theory of psychology and sports science, and using literature analysis, questionnaire survey method, experimental method, empirical analysis and mathematical analysis as the main research method. It explores the effects of the Excurricular sports for the rural left-behind children's psychological healthy intervention by comparing those children who accepted the Ex-curricular sports intervention experiment with other children who did not.The experimental results show that the extracurricular sports have a positive effect of the rural left-behind children's psychological status. To build and implement a scientific physical activity intervention model for the rural left-behind children can tremendously improve their psychological status, ability of emotional expression and interpersonal skills. It also can improve the rural middle school left-behind children's psychological defects. Therefore, the teaching experience of Yong Feng middle school by using the Ex-curricular sports to intervene the rural left-behind children's psychological healthy has the rationality and effectiveness, and it is worth following by other middle school as an example. This teaching experience provides reference for the improvement of the rural left-behind children's Psychology health status.
