The physical education curriculum reform has started since the ? physics curriculum standard for full-time compulsory education ?promulgated in 2001.The teaching concept,methods and curriculum setting of physics in junior middle school have developed greatly since the new curriculum reform was put forward to change the teaching methods and improve the studengts' learning bility.It is of great importance to optimize the teaching materials by taking the advantage of others since it plays a vital role in the teaching activities.In the present study,the comparion of Chinese physics textbook and Britain book in terms of book content,experiment design and exercise was analysised by the methodes of literature analysis,comparative research and case analysis to explore the advantages and disadvantages of the two books and we try to put out some useful advice.The research shows that the junior high school physics textbooks in both China and the UK focus on the cultivation of students' Scientific Literacy.From the content arrangement aspect,the book structure was put much emphasis on in chinses textbook,while the Britain teaching materials pay more attention to promote student cognitive level.At the sight of content,the Britain teaching material settle much knowledge on advanced science and technology,while chinese textbook put more emphasis on the understanding of physics basic knowledge.On the basis of these characteristics,we try put forward some suggestions: 1.There could be more interesting physical figure,comics to arouse students' curiosity and interest.2.It may be useful for students to introduce some physical knowledge about the contemporary science and technology progress to broaden their knowledge and cultivate their application ability.
