The gender in food is an important part of human food culture,exploring the gender in food culture of a nation is a necessity to study their diet culture.In this article,the author uses the methods of anthropology and ethnology,explore and research the gender in diet culture of Kazak in Xinjiang.The author also combines the gender performance and changes in the diet culture of Kazak,and analyzes the influence factors of the gender in the diet culture,finally the author makes a cultural anthropology reflection to the gender in Kazak diet culture.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is an introduction to the paper,mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the topic,relevant literature reviews,the basic theories and methods and the interpretation of the relevant professional terms.The second part is an introduction to the fields,introduces three important field places,discusses villages' basic situations.In the third part the author analyzes the performance of the gender in the dietetic culture of Kazak,including diet structure,food preparation,dining system,eating areas,festival,weeding diet culture and some other cultural aspects.The author also makes a comparative study between catering services and family kitchen.From a different perspective,in the fourth part,the author analyzes the dominant factors that influence the gender in diet culture of Kazak,such as traditional views,the economic and social development level,the settlement of Kazak's herdsmen and the ethnic characteristics of Kazak.The fifth part is a cultural anthropology reflection to the gender in Kazak diet culture.In this part,the author expounds the symbolic significance of the gender in diet,rethink and criticize the stereotypes of the gender in diet,consider the gender in a diet culture as a means of social control so that we can effectively maintain social order.
