A Research On The Implementation Of CPIK In Middle Schools Of Seoul | | Posted on:2018-03-10 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y Liu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2347330533960934 | Subject:International Education in Chinese | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | To commemorate the 20 th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and South Korea,the representative offices of two countries jointly carried out the “CPIK”(Chinese program in Korea)in 2012.CPIK is a primary and secondary Chinese teaching program for the whole South Korea,which has an important influence on the promotion of Chinese in South Korea.Over the years,Seoul has been the most important participant in CPIK program.During the period of the author served as a CPIK volunteer(2014-2015),the Seoul Department of Education has employed 72 volunteers,accounting for 12.7 percent of the total number of volunteers for two years;In addition,in more than a thousand primary and secondary schools which set up Chinese courses in Korea,middle schools in Seoul which applied for volunteers from Department of Education have reached 119.It can be seen that the implementation of CPIK program in Seoul has important theoretical significance and practical value for the implementation of the whole program.Thus,the author believes that it is necessary to make a comprehensive investigation and analysis on the specific implementation of CPIK program in middle schools of Seoul.The essay is based on the related research at home and abroad,combining with the author’s experience as a volunteer of CPIK program.By the way of conducting a questionnaire investigation on the CPIK volunteers and Korean teachers of middle schools in Seoul,talking with the relevant principals of school and Hanban,observing and practicing in the Chinese courses,this paper investigates the implementation of CPIK program in Seoul’s middle schools,mainly analyzes the present situation of Chinese teaching in middle schools of Seoul,the teaching situation of volunteers in Seoul and the specific attitude of volunteers,Korean teachers and related units to CPIK program.Research results show that the implementation of the CPIK program does well in Seoul.Volunteers,Korean teachers and related departments are all supportive of the implementation of the program.However there are also some problems in the implementation of the program,such as the volunteers’ inadequate use of language,lack of teaching experience.What’s more,Korean teachers’ ontological knowledge is not comprehensive;teaching methods are rigid.Cooperative teaching cannot be implemented easily.As for the related departments,the participating schools paid little attention to Chinese teaching;the campus’ restriction to network is unreasonable;the Seoul Department of Education’s distribution on numbers and locations of the volunteers’ schools is not scientific;investment in Chinese teaching is limited;Hanban and the embassy’s training is not specific etc.In view of the above problems,some feasible suggestions are put forward. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | CPIK program, Seoul, Chinese teaching in middle schools, implementation, investigation and analysis | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
